Our new site has been up about a year now, and I recently received a “Certificate of Appreciation” and a gift card from the Engineering Division for my webmastering during that year. Thank you! It was unlooked for, but much appreciated.

My work on the site has been fairly minimal, following the changeover to the new WordPress environment. However, in the coming year I hope to develop the Division site further, introducing elements which will make it more attractive and will attract more users. Any suggestions regarding changes and additions will be most welcome. You can reach me at dgc@creare.com.

One element I did recently add was the slide show viewer which you can see on the entry below. Anyone with Author status on the site can add a slide show element to their posting. Look for the “Insert EasyRotator” button on the line of formatting buttons in HTML mode. You can also ask me to post your photos to a slide show, if you prefer. Simply Attach your photos to an email and provide caption copy.

Note also the Email Feed element in the right-hand column. Sign up there to receive email notice of new postings to the Division’s blog. That way, you don’t have to keep checking to see if there are any new entries.

The rest of the site is self-explanatory. Thanks again to the Board for its kind acknowledgement of the work done so far, and a special thanks to Lassana Magassa for the help he has given me over the past year.
